A method of repairing a beverage cooling system comprises the steps of: providing an auxiliary cooler 35, fluidly connecting the auxiliary cooler 35 to the reservoir of coolant within the primary cooler 11, and circulating the liquid coolant through the auxiliary cooler 35 to cool the reservoir of coolant independently of the primary cooler's refrigeration unit. The primary cooler 11 is of a type having a refrigeration unit and a reservoir of liquid coolant through which at least one beverage supply pipe (12, fig.4) passes, the refrigeration unit being configured to cool the coolant. The refrigeration unit of the primary cooler 11 may be switched off and the auxiliary cooler 35 relied upon unit a replacement primary cooler is available or repairs are made. This means engineers need only transport small auxiliary coolers and not large replacement primary coolers. |
