The present invention relates to a method for moving the buoyancy casings of a semi-submersible heavy weight carrier and, more specifically, to a method for moving the buoyancy casings of a semi-submersible heavy weight carrier capable of increasing the efficiency of a loading space of a deck according to the shape of heavy weights by easily changing the position of buoyancy casings on the deck. The method for moving the buoyancy casings of a semi-submersible heavy weight in a state where the buoyancy casings are separated upward from a deck comprises a lifting device setting step of setting multiple lifting devices on the deck under the buoyancy casings in the longitudinal direction of the buoyancy casings; a buoyancy casing separating step of separating the buoyancy casings fixed on the deck; a buoyancy casing lifting step of lifting the buoyancy casings using the lifting devices arranged under the buoyancy casings; a rail assembly setting step of setting rail assemblies on the deck under the buoyancy casings; a buoyancy casing lowering step for mounting the buoyancy casings on the rail assemblies by lowering the buoyancy casings using the lifting devices; and a power cylinder operating step of operating a power cylinder to move the buoyancy casings on the rail assemblies.
