Disclosed is a device and method for determining a parameter using an auditory model of a person having hearing impairment. The device for determining a parameter determines an optimal frequency band on a person having hearing impairment by comparing neurogram of a normal person and neurogram outputted when a sound to which hearing impairment compensation is applied is applied to the auditory model of the person having hearing impairment.
