A method for dismantling the retired steam generator

The present invention relates to a method for disassembling a retired steam generator of which the life span is over when the steam generator of a nuclear power plant is replaced. The retired steam generator is disassembled and molten so as to reuse non-contaminated parts. Parts, which are contaminated with radioactive rays, or radioactivated parts are additionally decontaminated and divided into smaller parts. Non-contaminated parts are increased as many as possible so as to maximize the amount of reuse. The contaminated parts are reduced as little as possible to be temporarily stored or to be contained in a radioactive waste drum for permanent disposal.
