Disclosed are an eco-friendly and power-saving hybrid harmonic cancellation device and a control method thereof, capable of maintaining balance of power (voltage, current) and canceling harmonics even when only single phase power is used in a 3-phase electric power system. The disclosed eco-friendly and power-saving hybrid harmonic cancellation device comprises: first to third legs formed of iron cores; first to third windings wound around the first leg in order at predetermined intervals; fourth to sixth windings wound around the second leg in order at predetermined intervals; and seventh to ninth windings wound around the third leg in order at predetermined intervals, wherein the third, sixth, and ninth windings are connected to a surge protector in one ends thereof, so when harmonics are introduced to a neutral conductor, the introduced harmonics are forced to flow to mutually connected windings among the first to ninth windings, thus canceling the harmonics introduced to the neutral conductor. |
