[Class 120 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A cord yarn for use in the carcases of pneumatic tyres is made from a number of strands of artificial silk twisted from a number of yarns, the cord being formed of not more than the equivalent of 10 yarns of 275 denier and having a combined cable or cord and strand twist of not more than 29.1 turns per inch, a gauge of less than .027 inch and a tensile strength of a least 2.20 grms per denier; the number of cords in the principal plies forming the fabric carcase of the tyre is at least 32 per inch. The cord is preferably of 275d/4/2 construction with a strand twist of 18.2 turns per inch right hand and a cable or cord twist of 10.7 turns per inch left hand, the yarn from which the cord is made having a tensile strength of at least 3 grms per denier.
