According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display device comprises a reference potential discharging unit located between a reference voltage applying unit and a reference voltage wire. Since reference potential is discharged when turning off the liquid crystal display device, the reference voltage value does not change when turning on the liquid crystal display device again. Accordingly, image degradation of a flicker by the change of the reference voltage value can be prevented.
