A method for controlling an audio signal level, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: measuring a level of an inputted audio signal; obtaining a peak level of an audio signal by applying peak weights to the measured original audio signal level; obtaining a control ratio for adjusting the level of the audio signal by using the original audio signal level and the peak audio level; and controlling the level of the audio signal inputted according to the obtained control ratio.
