<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-direction input device used for mainly operating various kinds of electronic apparatuses in vehicle interior capable of reliable and variety of operations.SOLUTION: The multi-direction input device includes: a case 14; a slider 15 mounted to the case 14, which is slidable in a first direction; a movable member 16 mounted on the upper surface of the slider 15, which is slidable in a second direction; a reflection part 17 provided to any one of the movable member 16, the case 14, and the slider 15; and a light-emitting device 12 and a light receiving element 13 disposed facing to the reflection part 17. The reflection part 17 has a step at the side opposing to the light-emitting device 12. The distance in a third direction of the reflection part 17 and the light-emitting device 12 varies depending on the area. The sliding direction of the movable member 16 can be detected by a pair of the light-emitting device 12 and the light receiving element 13.</p> |
