Provided is a palm vein image capture device which can be incorporated into a thin electronic device. The palm vein image capture device (9) comprises: an image capture system of an image sensor (18) and an image capture lens module (19); an illumination system of a plurality of infrared LEDs for illumination (21) and a light guide (22) which are positioned annularly around the image capture system; a distance measurement system of a plurality of LEDs for distance measurement (24) and a distance measurement lens module (25) which are positioned on the outer side of illumination system; a control system of chip components (17) including at least a CPU and a memory module; a printed circuit board (16) wherein the image capture system, the illumination system, the distance measurement system, and the control system are provided on the top and bottom surfaces thereof; a casing body (13) which houses the printed circuit board together with the systems; a top cover (14) which covers an upper opening on the casing body; and a recessed part (15) which is formed on a portion of the inner top surface of the top cover facing the image capture lens module, said recessed part (15) being formed so as to be thinner than the peripheral portions. The image capture lens module (19) is positioned in a configuration wherein the upper part thereof enters into the recessed part (15). The thickness of the device main body is 6mm or less. |
