The present invention concerns a method of diagnosing an operating fault of a power supply relay (4) connected to a supply terminal of an automotive vehicle computer (1), the waking-up of which is managed by a management unit (5) supplied directly by a battery of the vehicle and adapted for delivering to said computer a wake-up signal able to allow it to control the closure of the power supply relay (4). According to the invention, the diagnosis method consists in engendering the emission by the computer (1) when it is normally supplied by the battery (2), to the management unit (5), of a signal requesting activation of the wake-up signal, and, during the reception by the computer (1) of said wake-up signal originating from the management unit (5), in implementing a diagnosis procedure consisting of at least one command of change of state of the power supply relay (4), and of a verification of the execution of each command. |
