PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base carrier of a construction machine in which a guide part is formed with respect to an idler bracket with a relatively simple configuration.SOLUTION: A pair of idler brackets 25 is formed by a plate member which has a closed sectional shape viewing from a vehicle longitudinal direction. An internal surface 26 of the idler bracket 25 is so depressed as to contact an outer wall surface 27 and extends in the vehicle longitudinal direction, whereby a guide part 28, which slidably supports a bearing part 35 of an idler pulley 24, is formed. An open hole 27a is formed in the outer wall surface 27 of the idler bracket 25, and the internal surface 26 and the outer wall surface 27 of the idler bracket 25 are weld along an inner peripheral edge of the open hole 27a thereby being jointed to each other.
