A remote control for communicating with an electronic device and a stereo housing comprises a microphone, a remote control speaker, a controller, and a video screen that displays visual content based on content of the electronic device and the stereo housing. The visual content is able to comprise song, album, and artist information and caller identification information of a call received by the electronic device. In some embodiments, the remote control speaker plays audio from the electronic device and the audio system. In some embodiments, the remote control is able to divert audio content including phone calls between the remote control speaker and a speaker of the audio system. In some embodiments, the remote control is configured utilize infrared, infrared laser, radio frequency, wireless, WiFi, Bluetooth®, 2.4 Gh and IAP protocols. In some embodiments, the remote control is hermetically sealed from water and environmental intrusion. |
