A linear guide device comprises a guide rail (4) and a slider (10). Each of the grooves of the guide rail (4) and/or each of the grooves of the slider (10) is formed by combining two curved surfaces having a circular arc cross-sectional shape and has a substantially V-shaped cross-sectional shape. The two curved surfaces comprise: one curved surface with which, in a use state, balls (7) are in contact; and the other curved surface with which, in the use state, the balls (7) are not in contact. The depth of the one curved surface measured from a circumferential end thereof to the groove bottom thereof is formed to be greater than the depth of the other curved surface measured from a circumferential end thereof to the groove bottom thereof. |
