PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently prevent occurrence of breakage by reducing or eliminating damage of a label by friction.SOLUTION: A cylindrical stretch label 10 is expansible by 60% or more in a circumferential direction, and instantaneous distortion (50 mm/min) after expansion by 60% in the circumferential direction is 13% or less. The cylindrical stretch label 10 comprises: a cylindrical film substrate 11t containing linear low-density polyethylene as a main component; and a protective layer 14 formed on an outer surface of the cylindrical film substrate 11t. A container 20x with a label for a test is prepared by mounting the cylindrical stretch label 10 to a cylindrical container 21x while being elongated by 30% in the circumferential direction, and in the case where such three containers 20x with the labels for the test are piled up in chevron on an inclined plate 100 so that their protective layers 14 are in contact with each other, a coefficient of static friction in extension by 30% obtained from such a tilt angle &thetas; that the upper container 20x with the label for the test starts sliding, is 0.25 or less.
