A bearing system (100) for supporting a plurality of blades (210) of a turbine (200), such that each blade is rotatable about a pitch axis (A) relative to a hub (101) of the bearing system (100). The hub (101) is configured for being connected to a main shaft of the turbine and comprises a plurality of static frames (110) which comprise a conical structure (150) and have two or more legs (107) with openings in between. The static frames (110) are configured for cooperating with corresponding dynamic frames (120), which comprise a conical structure (170, 172) and have two or more legs (127) with openings in between, whereby the legs (107) of the static frame (110) pass through openings between the legs (127) of the corresponding dynamic frame (120), and the legs (127) of the dynamic frame (120) pass through openings between the legs (107) of the corresponding static frame (110). Each dynamic frame (120) is configured for being connected to one of the blades and is rotationally mounted to the corresponding static frame (110) by means of a first bearing unit (140) and a second bearing unit (160) arranged at a distance along the pitch axis (A) from the first bearing unit (140). Each static frame (110) further comprises a first shaft section (145) to which a first ring of the first bearing unit is mounted and comprises a second shaft section to which a first ring of the second bearing unit is mounted. The hub (101) further comprises a central portion (105) that interconnects the first shaft sections (145) of the static frames (110). |
