PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of a communication state in an image reader having a radio communication function.SOLUTION: In an image reader, a casing 10 includes: a mounting substrate 27 which is mounted with an electronic component used when reading sections 24 and 25 read images; and a radio communication substrate 28 having transmission/reception faces 31 and 32 which can transmit/receive radio signals. Since the mounting substrate 27 and the radio communication substrate 28 are arranged to be mutually orthogonal, an electromagnetic wave generated from the electronic component mounted on the mounting substrate 27 is difficult to be received by the transmission/reception faces 31 and 32 of the radio communication substrate 28, and the signals transmitted/received to/from the transmission/reception faces 31 and 32 of the radio communication substrate 28 are difficult to be blocked by the mounting substrate 27 and a metal part of the electronic component. |
