Abstract A mounting system (10) for securing an item (12) to a wall comprising one or 5 more wall brackets (16) securable to wall engaging members (17) of the item (12). The wall brackets (16) have at least one aperture (28) for receiving a fastener to secure the wall bracket (16) to the wall and an adhesive element (29) is provided on an outer side of each of the wall brackets (16). A cover sheet (30) is provided on a side of the adhesive element (29) remote from the 10 wall bracket (16) and the cover sheet (30 is removable to allow the wall bracket (16) to be connected to the wall by the adhesive element (29) when secured to the item (12). The item (12) may then be disconnected from the wall bracket (16) to allow fixing of the wall bracket (16) to the wall by insertion of the fastener through the aperture (28). a0 ) 9/ co
