PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crawler type robot capable of easily entering a very narrow space such as among piping or debris.SOLUTION: A crawler type robot 1 includes a frame 2 which has a hollow hole 2a along a center axis C, with a crawler belt core part 2b formed on its wall part, a gear motor 3 which is housed in the hollow hole 2a for generating rotational torque, and a worm 4 which is housed in the hollow hole 2a and rotates around the center axis C by the rotational torque, with a worm tooth part 41 protruding in spiral formed on a side surface, and a crawler belt 5, arranged by three pieces or more at each of the crawler belt core part 2b around the center axis C with almost constant intervals, outside a side surface of the worm 4, with many protruding crawler belt tooth parts 51 capable of engaging with the worm tooth part 41 of the worm 4 formed on an outer peripheral surface, with a crawler belt tooth part 51 which is a part of many crawler belt tooth 51 engaging with the worm tooth part 41 for rotation by following rotation of the worm 4. |
