PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds which comprise a vascular disrupting agent (VDA) associated with a matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) proteolytic cleavage site and are useful in the treatment of cancer.SOLUTION: The invention provides: a compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which comprises a VDA as an anti-cancer agent and is linked to a peptide comprising an MMP proteolytic cleavage site comprising the amino acid sequence -Arg-Ser-Cit-Gly-Hof-Tyr-Leu-; and a pharmaceutical formulation comprising the compound and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, diluent or carrier. |
