A TFT substrate (10) and/or a facing substrate (20) is provided with polarization layers (12/22), the polarization layers (12/22) having polarization regions in which polarization plates (13/23) are provided in planar view, and transmission regions in which the polarization plates (13/23) are not provided, the transmission regions being arranged evenly in planar view.
