A method of allowing a player to play a gaming machine is described herein. The method includes displaying, on a display device, a game including at least one reel being displayed with a plurality of normal symbol positions and a plurality of special symbol positions. The method includes determining a first amount of special symbol positions being displayed in a first instance of the game, spinning and stopping the at least one reel to display the first instance on the display device including the at least one reel being displayed with the first amount of special symbol positions, determining a second amount of special symbol positions being displayed in a second instance of the game, and spinning and stopping the at least one reel to display the second instance including the at least one reel being displayed with the second amount of special symbol positions. f2 16 |
