<p>Provided are an active matrix circuit in which failure of a protective circuit is prevented, a manufacturing method for an active matrix circuit, and an image display device. The active matrix circuit is provided with a protective circuit that protects active elements from static electricity. In the protective circuit, TFTs (switching elements) (17) are connected between gate lines (signal lines) (11) via connecting lines (41). The connecting lines (41) have breaker parts (47), and markings (42) showing the breaker parts (47) are provided. Middle points (46) positioned equidistant from two contact holes (connection points) (43) that are closest to the connection lines (41) are included in the area of the breaker parts (47). When a failure occurs, the breaker part (47) for the connecting line (41) connected to the TFT (17) related to the failure breaks. The protective circuit is modified by the break. In addition, because the breaker parts (47) are distant from the contact holes (43), adhesion of a scattered conductive substance to contact holes (43) is prevented.</p> |
