The present invention provides a system for calculating a trace for perpendicular parking of a vehicle. The system includes a shape data acquisition unit which acquires shape data of a pair of parked vehicles placed side by side; an operation unit which adjusts the moving line in order to make the moving line of a target vehicle moving around the two parked vehicles and an entrance line in the parking area formed between the two parked vehicles cross at a right angle; and a trace calculation unit which calculates a moving trace for parking to guide the target vehicle to the parking area along the entrance line crossing the adjusted moving line at a right angle. The present invention also provides a method for calculating a trace for perpendicular parking of a vehicle. |
