PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new imide-modified elastomer being an elastomer with a flexible modulus, having a high strength and in particular excellent in thermal resistance. SOLUTION: This imide-modified elastomer is represented by general formula (I), wherein R<SB>1</SB>is a divalent organic group containing an aromatic ring or an aliphatic ring, R<SB>2</SB>is a divalent organic group containing at least one of a polycarbonate structural unit and a polyester structural unit, R<SB>3</SB>is a divalent organic group containing an aromatic ring, an aliphatic ring or an aliphatic chain, R<SB>4</SB>is a tetravalent organic group containing≥4 carbon atom, n is an integer of 1-100, and m is an integer of 2-100.
