摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly start receiving data without the need of synchronization capture at a receiving side in a communication system that is configured to switch the communication system to either one of an OFDM system and an SS system, when the communication system is switched to the SS system. SOLUTION: A communication system comprises a transmitter 10 and a receiver 30. The transmitter 10 includes: an OFDM transmitting section 12; a DSSS synchronization signal generating section 16; and a DSSS transmitting section 14. The DSSS synchronization signal generating section 16 generates a synchronization signal that presents a diffusion frequency of the DSSS transmitting section 14 when the transmitter 10 transmits data via the OFDM transmitting section 12. The generated synchronization signal is transmitted to the receiver 30 side by using a sub-carrier of an OFDM signal. The receiver 30 side includes: an OFDM receiving section 32; a DSSS synchronization timing determination section 36; and a DSSS receiving section 34. The DSSS synchronization timing determination section 36 fetches the synchronization signal from a data processing section 42 and stores synchronization timing when the OFDM receiving section 32 receives the data. Synchronization timing after switching the communication system that is estimated from a plurality of the synchronization timings stored in the past is output to the DSSS receiving section 34 when the communication system is switched to the DSSS system.
