PURPOSE: An adhesive is provided to have excellent stress releasing performance, and to provide an adhesive sheet with excellent light leak resistance and durability together when applied to an optical element. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive has a maximum stress when drawn is larger than a stress at fracture or 400% elongation. The adhesive comprises 50 wt% or more of a (meth)acrylic ester polymer of which weight average molecular weight is 500,000-3,000,000. A gel fraction is 30-90%. An adhesive sheet(1A) comprises a substrate(13) and an adhesive layer(11) or comprises two pieces of release sheets(12) and an adhesive layer inserted between the release sheet to contact with separated sides of two release sheet. The adhesive layer consists of the adhesive. |
