Method for changing the wireless access point associated with a terminal in a WiFi-DECT cordless telecommunications network

The method involves changing a dual-mode wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi)digital enhanced cordless telecommunication (DECT) radio access point (AP1) for a Wi-Fipart of a terminal i.e. mobile terminal (PP) when a decision is made to change the radio access point for the DECT part of the terminal. A known roaming method is applied for deciding association of the DECT part of the terminal with another DECT radio access point (AP2). A decision is made to associate with the Wi-Fipart of the terminal with the latter WiFiDECT radio access point. An independent claim is also included for a dual-mode Wi-Fi-DECT access point.
