Provided is a device which uses a USB port as a dual-port and a method for using a USB port as a dual-port. The device which uses a USB port as a dual-port includes: a first interface device which can be connected to a data pin of the USB port; a second interface device which can be connected to the data pin of the USB port; and a controller which connects the data pin of the USB port to the first interface device and disconnects the first interface device and another second interface device at a first time point and disconnects the data pin of the USB port and the first interface device and connects the data pin of the USB port to the second interface device at a second time point which is different from the first time point.
