An objective of the present invention is to provide an ultraviolet lamp which is capable of radiating the ultraviolet having a desired wavelength from an interior of a discharge vessel to the outside and of preventing glass from being deteriorated due to ultraviolet rays having a short wavelength in all regions of the discharge vessel corresponding to a light radiation unit. To achieve the above objective, the ultraviolet lamp according to the present invention includes a discharge vessel (1); a pair of electrodes (2) formed on an outer surface of the discharge vessel (1) to face each other while a sealed space (13) is interposed between the electrodes (2); a light radiation unit (3) for radiating the light generated due to discharge in the sealed space (13) to an outside of the discharge vessel; and a discharge vessel protective film (5) formed in a region corresponding to the light radiation unit (3) on an inner surface of the discharge vessel (1) in order to allow the ultraviolet having a peak wavelength (λ) or more to be transmitted therethrough and to reflect or absorb the ultraviolet having a wavelength less than the peak wavelength (λ). |
