A seat belt guide comprises two arms each comprising a slider through-plate at an end thereof, an adjustment mechanism for allowing movement of the arms and a tightening mechanism for attaching the guide to the headrest posts of a car seat. A strap that is additional to the integral car seat belt (figure 4) may be passed through one of the slider through-plates and locked in position. The additional strap may be passed from a users shoulder and across their chest to their opposite hip and attached to an extra buckle added to the anchor point of the integral seat belt, such that the additional strap crosses the integral seat belt strap in the chest area of a user. The arrangement prevents the user from slowly falling forwards, for example, if they fall asleep. |
