An adjustable workpiece-holding chuck including a chuck body with at least one jaw recess formed therein, which receive an operating jaw. 1. An adjustable workpiece holding chuck, the chuck comprising:
a cylindrical chuck body having a jaw recess in a frontward facing surface; an operating jaw mounted into the jaw recess; and an master jaw mounted into the jaw recess substantially adjacent to the operating jaw; wherein one of the operating jaw or the master jaw includes a bearing brace; wherein an adjustable cartridge assembly is fixedly attached to the other of operating jaw or the master jaw; and wherein said adjustable cartridge assembly comprises: an adjustable screw that is releasably, rotatably mounted to the bearing brace; and a cartridge insert having a cartridge opening that threadedly receives the adjustable screw, said cartridge insert being the portion of the adjustable cartridge assembly that is fixedly attached to the other of the operating jaw or the master jaw, and said cartridge insert being detachable from the operating jaw and from the master jaw without removing said adjustable screw from said cartridge insert.
