The present invention discloses an engine clutch control method of a hybrid vehicle to control direct junction (connection) of an engine clutch in consideration of the inertia of a power source, driving inertia, and a transmission torque of the engine clutch for the hybrid vehicle. The present invention comprises the steps of determining whether an operation of an EV mode is requested to be switched to an HEV mode; determining the reference speed by applying the driving inertia of the vehicle and the inertia of the engine and a motor if the switching of the HEV mode is requested; determining the target speed for controlling the reference speed; and calculating a transmission torque of the engine clutch and controlling the pressure of the fluid to connect the engine clutch if the transmission torque of the engine clutch is included in a set area. |
