PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogen special high-tension cable for a railway vehicle that is excellent in a mechanical characteristic, age resistance, oil resistance, a cold temperature characteristic, fire retardancy, and safety.SOLUTION: A non-halogen special high-tension cable for a railway vehicle is characterized in that a sheath layer is that in an examination according to JISC3005, a tensile strength is at least 8 MPa, a breaking elongation is at least 200%, a tensile strength residual ratio is at least 70%, a breaking elongation residual ratio is at least 60% after heating at 100°C for 168 hours, a tensile strength residual ratio and a breaking elongation residual ratio are at least 60% respectively after immersion in IRM No.902 oil of 100°C for 24 hours, a breaking elongation is at least 100% after cooling at -40°C for 10 minutes, and a breaking elongation is at least 30% after cooling at -50°C for 10 minutes, a metal hydroxide and a crosslinking agent are included in an olefinic polymer in which an ethylene-acetate copolymer (EVA) in which a carbonization length in a vertical burning examination according to BS6853 is at most 2.5 m is made a chief ingredient to become a crosslinked resin material. |
