<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biaxially oriented polyester film having excellent runnability, flatness and shaving resistance, particularly, a biaxially oriented polyester film capable of making a high density magnetic recording medium having excellent electromagnetic conversion properties.SOLUTION: Provided is a biaxially oriented polyester film having a coating layer including a water-soluble polymer at least on one side, in which both the projection spacing Sm-X in the surface of the coating layer and the projection spacing Sm-Y in the longitudinal direction are 3 to 10μm.</p> |
