PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (meth)acrylic acid(salt)-dicarboxylic acid(salt) type copolymer which has a narrowed molecular weight distribution and excellent gelling resistance.SOLUTION: A (meth)acrylic acid(salt)-dicarboxylic acid(salt) type copolymer contains a structural unit originated from (meth)acrylic acid(salt) and a structural unit originated from a dicarboxylic acid(salt) and has sulfide bonds in the structure of the copolymer. The ratio of the structural unit originated from (meth)acrylic acid(salt) to the structural unit originated from dicarboxylic acid(salt), with the units constituting the copolymer, of 95:5 to 5:95, in terms of the mol ratio, and the weight average molecular weight of the copolymer is 500-200,000. |
