PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect wiring by allowing a wiring tool to be inserted even in a narrow and closed space such as an attic.SOLUTION: A wiring tool 1 comprises a substantially L-shaped outer cylinder part 11 including an operation-side support cylinder 8 and an elongation/contraction part 9 in which a plurality of cylinder portions of which the diameters become gradually small are disposed so as to be elongated/contracted. A distal end of a cable 20 which is movable back and forth inside of the outer cylinder part 11 and includes a camera and a lighting instrument at a distal end side, and a fifth cylinder portion 16 in a distal end of the elongation/contraction part 9 are threaded and connected in an opening cylinder portion 21. In a proximal portion of the cable 20, a display 23 is provided which displays an image captured by the camera. The cable 20 is moved back and forth at a proximal end side of the support cylinder 8 and the plurality of cylinder portions 12-16 of the elongation/contraction part 9 are elongated/contracted while being interlocked, such that the cable 20 is moved back and forth linearly even if the cable 20 is flexible. The wiring tool 1 is inserted from a hole of a downlight in an attic while contracting the elongation/contraction part 9, the elongation/contraction part 9 is then elongated, and a wiring cable is held while being imaged by the camera.
