PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively stabilize image quality regardless of the number of times of printing passes by properly controlling light irradiation executed stepwise, in a printing technology of executing a printing pass by discharging a photocurable liquid.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a print head 8 which executes a printing pass of moving in a main scanning direction Dm while discharging a photocurable liquid to a printing medium A every time it moves in a sub-scanning direction Ds by a sub-scanning movement amount m; a first irradiation part 93 which, while moving in the main scanning direction Dm following the print head 8 moving in the main scanning direction Dm, radiates light to a region Ra, which is larger than the sub-scanning movement amount m; and a second irradiation part 94 which radiates light toward a region of the printing medium A to which light irradiation by the first irradiation part 93 is completed. Discharge regions Ra of each printing pass executed continuously by the number of printing passes overlap in one part of a region p in the sub-scanning direction Ds. Then, according to the increase of the preset number of printing passes, an integrated light amount by the first irradiation part 93 is decreased, and the integrated light amount by the second irradiation part 94 is increased. |
