<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb filter being strong to breakage and capable of keeping stable filter performance by increasing the strength of an end part in an axial direction in a honeycomb filter even when the further high porosity of a honeycomb structure is achieved.SOLUTION: A coating layer to coat the inner surface of a cell wall is made at an end part which is at least one end part in an extending direction in a honeycomb structural body and which is not sealed at least at a sealing part. The coating layer is formed to be extended in a depth direction of a cell from the end surface position of the cell.</p> |
