<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge unit that can greatly prolong the use lifetime of a wipe member for wiping off residues such as ink sticking on a nozzle surface, and a method of manufacturing the liquid discharge unit.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge unit includes: a recording element board having a plurality of energy generating elements, a nozzle layer 41 where a nozzle 11 which discharges a liquid with energy generated by the energy generating elements is formed, and a plurality of electrode terminals which supply electric energy to the energy generating elements; an electric wiring board 3 having a plurality of conductors which are electrically connected to the electrode terminals one to one; and a liquid supply part where the recording element board and electric wiring board 3 are fixed to an end face on a liquid supply side. The electrode terminals and the conductors are arranged adjacently, the nozzle layer 41 and electric wiring board 3 are so provided that a surface on a liquid discharge-directional side of the nozzle layer 41 is substantially in level with a surface of the electric wiring board 3, and side face parts of the electrode terminals and the conductors are electrically connected by conductive connection members.</p> |
