PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption refrigerator that prevents cold water freezing prevention measures from being taken due to a transient factor at a time of activation.SOLUTION: An absorption refrigerator 1 comprises: an evaporator 20; an absorber 10; a refrigerant pump 29; a refrigerant-liquid temperature detector 52 detecting a temperature of a refrigerant liquid Vf sprayed in a cold water channel 21; a solution pump 19; and a control device 60 controlling the cold water pump 92 to be started or stopped. Cold water freezing prevention measures are taken when a detected temperature of the refrigerant-liquid temperature detector 52 is lower than a preset temperature. After activating the cold water pump 92, the refrigerant pump 29 and the solution pump 29 are sequentially activated. By doing so, if a temperature of cooling water D is low, a solution right after activation is cooled by the low-temperature cooling water D to exhibit excessive absorbing capability, and the refrigerant liquid Vf in the evaporator 20 is evaporated to possibly decrease the refrigerant temperature, it is possible to suppress the temperature decrease by allowing the refrigerant liquid Vf sprayed by the refrigerant pump 29 to receive heat from cold water C in the cold water channel 21, thereby preventing the cold water freezing measures from being taken. |
