PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding device capable of preventing the deformation and breakage of a cylindrical body and a method for manufacturing a battery cooler using the same.SOLUTION: A welding device 70 of the present invention welds, in a state where a pair of cylindrical protrusions 25 and 25 of a header base 20 is being positioned on the respective inner sides of the inflow port 40A and outflow port 40B of a cooling pack 40, open fringes of the inflow port 40A and outflow port 40B to the respective cylindrical protrusions 25 by clamping, from the outside, the open fringe of the cooling pack 40 with a pair of heaters 73 and 73. The welding device 70, furthermore, is furnished with a core material 72 for supporting, from the inner side, the cylindrical protrusions 25 in opposition to forces received by the cylindrical protrusions 25 from the pair of heaters 73 and 73.
