PURPOSE: An ion generator for a vehicle is provided to control the amount of ion by changing voltage applied to an ion generating unit using a variable circuit. CONSTITUTION: An ion generator for a vehicle comprises a cation generating unit(10) and an anion generating unit(20), variable circuits(15,25) and a control unit(30). The cation/anion generating units are formed in the same shapes of electrodes and the variable circuits change voltages applied to the electrode. The control unit controls the amount of ion which is generated in each ion generating unit. The control unit consists of a control electrode(31) and a control circuit(32). The control electrode functions as an electrified body pulling ion from air. The control circuit consists of a condenser and a switch. The condenser is connected to the control electrode and charges electrified ion. |
