PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aromatic polyester consisting of a 6,6'-(ethylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid component and an alkylene glycol component in high productivity.SOLUTION: There are provided a powder consisting of 6,6'-(alkylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid or lower alkyl ester thereof and having a specific surface area of 5 m/g or less and a pore volume of 0.01 cc/g or less, and a method of manufacturing aromatic polyester using the same. |
