PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SPR sensor cell and an SPR sensor having quite excellent detection sensitivity.SOLUTION: An SPR sensor cell serving as an SPR sensor includes: an underclad layer; a core layer formed to be adjacent to the underclad layer at least in part; and a metal layer coating the core layer. The core layer includes a refractive index uniform layer and a refractive index gradient layer. The refractive index gradient layer is arranged between the refractive index uniform layer and the metal layer. A refractive index of the refractive index gradient layer is larger than a refractive index of the refractive index uniform layer, and continuously increases in a thickness direction thereof, from a surface on the refractive index uniform layer side to the metal layer side. |
