<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring surface roughness useful for preventing a reduction in image quality.SOLUTION: A method includes a first step (steps S01a, and S01b) of measuring a shape of the surface of a photoreceptor to obtain first data showing a surface shape, a second step (steps S02a, and S02b) of creating second data showing an arithmetic average roughness Ra within a predetermined range on the basis of the first data, in which the first step and the second step are executed before and after application of lubricant to the surface of the photoreceptor, and a third step (S03) of calculating a different valueΔRa between the two pieces of data before and after the application of lubricant obtained as a result of the execution of the first and second steps.</p> |
