<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patch for iontophoresis capable of developing a local anesthetic effect soon after the iontophoresis treatment for carrying out a puncture, and capable of eliminating the local anesthetic effect soon after the puncture.SOLUTION: A patch for introducing a local anesthetic to a skin by iontophoresis includes polyvinyl alcohol as a main base agent and lidocaine as a local anesthetic. The lidocaine concentration Y (weight %) is set at the concentration obtained by formula Y=0.110X+0.028 or more for an electrical quantity X (per cm) in introduction predetermined in the range of 1.6-5.0 mA minute/cm. When the local anesthetic is introduced by iontophoresis using the patch, the anesthetic effect becomes almost ineffective at the point that about 20 minutes have elapsed after the end of electrical-conduction. Thereby, delay in detecting a side effect associated with a puncture or medication treatment can be prevented.</p> |
