According to an embodiment of the present invention, a lighting apparatus is provided with: a main body section; a substrate that is provided in the main body section; a wiring pattern, which is provided on the surface of the substrate, and which has a plurality of wiring pads; a plurality of light emitting elements, each of which is provided on the wiring pattern, and has an electrode close to the periphery of the surface on the reverse side of the surface on which each of the light emitting elements is provided on the wiring pattern; a plurality of wiring lines that connect the wiring pads and the electrodes, respectively; a surrounding wall member, which is provided to surround the light emitting elements, and which has an annular shape; and a sealing section that is provided to cover the inner side of the surrounding wall member. At least some of the light emitting elements are connected in series. In the electrical connection between the light emitting element and the light emitting element among the light emitting elements connected in series, the electrodes are respectively positioned on a circumference or inside of the circumference, which has a first position at the center, and which passes the centers of the light emitting elements connected in series. |
