The present invention provides a method and apparatus for home gateway (HG) port configuration, the method comprising: implementing on an ONU a first matching of feature codes reported by a home gateway; reporting the home gateway feature codes having successfully undergone the first matching to a network management system to implement a second matching; implementing port configuration on port data configuration information issued by the home gateway having successfully undergone the second matching. Use of the present technical solution solves technical problems in the prior art such as misreporting of illegal HGs during feature code matching in existing port data configuration schemes, thereby avoiding access of HG in the range of non-feature codes. |
