PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method of an inorganic base material capable of suitably increasing the dynamic strength of the surface of the inorganic base material with a small amount of a surface treatment agent.SOLUTION: In a surface treatment method including an impregnation step of an isocyanate compound to the surface of an inorganic base material and a drying step, the dynamic strength of the surface of the inorganic base material is suitably increased with a small amount of a surface treatment agent by the surface treatment method of the inorganic base material that the aqueous dispersion or a solution of a water dispersion type isocyanate compound (A) is impregnated and further the organic solvent solution of a solvent type isocyanate compound (B) is impregnated in the impregnation step.
